LPC1833のアプリケーションコードを書き換える機能を追加しました。
LPCOpenに含まれているperiph_flashiapデモプロジェクトでは、フラッシュを書き換えた後、Signatureを生成しています。

フラッシュを書き換えた後は、Signatureの生成は必須なのでしょうか。

LPC1833のアプリケーションコードを書き換えた後、Signatureを生成する必要はありません。
ユーザーマニュアルの5.4.4.1 Criterion for Valid User Codeに以下の記載には、誤記があります。
If the signature is not valid, the auto-baud routine synchronizes with the host via serial port 0.
正しい記載内容は、次の通りです。
If the checksum is not valid, the auto-baud routine synchronizes with the host via serial port 0.
If the checksum is not valid, the auto-baud routine synchronizes with the host via serial port 0.
